Trade Marketing Manager, FMCG Non Food, Cosmetics, West Midlands
£40,000, £50,000 OTE with bonuses + Executive package

This is a head office role with global travel opportunities within one of the market leading suppliers of branded cosmetics into the major multiples. As Trade Marketing Manager you will work closely with the board of directors to develop and executive a strategy for maintaining and increasing market share within the company's seven major accounts. These include the top five major grocers and the two main health and beauty/cosmetics retailers.
This is a cross functional role that is highly varied and unusual as it is both analytical and creative. Working with retail data from the major accounts you will negotiate product positioning to ensure that maximum sales potential in-store is achieved.
You will also be involved in creating promotional material and, working with the internal creative teams, act as the strategist behind all marketing initiatives within the key retail accounts. This will include in-store literature, seasonal/regional promotional campaigns and contra-partnership promotions.
Also, you will work with the product development team to analyse competitor product and buying trends. In doing so you will spot new product opportunities to exploit and liaise with the commercial director to adjust pricing to maintain the competitive edge . In addition you will have involvement in the PR behind new product release and work closely with the sales team to analyse and present data to the board of directors. As the role includes regular presentation to the board and occasionally at industry functions, you will be a solid communicator with good presentation skills.
To succeed you will have a succinct understanding of retail category management and be used to analysing complex data from major retail accounts. Ideally with experience of working with the major grocers you will have an excellent eye for an opportunity and be a cross functional person looking for a long term career role.
