Account Director - Consulting Services

London

As Account Director - Consulting Services, you will be responsible for the promotion and development of Canadean Consumer's bespoke analysis and research proposition to the appropriate existing clients currently serviced by Canadean Liquid Intelligence and new clients, with the key goal of achieving sales targets as agreed on a quarterly basis, and ensuring year-on-year sales and revenue growth.You will be responsible for the full sales and relationship life-cycle with clients (from generating sales leads and pitching to current and prospective clients, to working with internal delivery teams and clients to ensure satisfactory delivery of projects won), with the ultimate aim of developing long-standing "partnerships" with companies to maximise the opportunity for repeat business.

You will be expected to work closely with Canadean Consumer's Managing Director and Consulting Directors to ensure that responses to proposals and tenders meet the client's needs and are able to be satisfied by the business, both from an output and timing perspective.

You need to travel mainly within Europe and the UK to visit clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meet sales targets through:

  • Engaging with clients, generating leads and managing a pipeline such that Canadean Consumer delivers on its annual revenue and gross profit targets;
  • Utilising the services of Canadean Consumer's consulting and research analyst teams in order to develop on-going and in-depth contacts with key clients; and
  • Promoting the consulting and bespoke analysis proposition to your client base.

Drive business development through:

  • Using your personal contacts in order to generate leads and win projects;
  • In conjunction with the Managing Director and Consulting Directors, anticipating hot issues, client needs and industry trends; you will proactively suggest topics that will capture the imagination of clients and drive future business.
  • Keeping abreast of relevant competitive offerings, understanding both their strengths and weaknesses, and accordingly providing input into new product development initiatives.

Build strategic involvement through:

  • Offering insight to quarterly and annual planning meetings; and
  • Contributing to the direction and strategy of Canadean Consumer via understanding of the clients' needs and developing a customer-based point of view and therefore ideas for future new products and services.

Ensure client satisfaction through:

  • Working with the Managing Director and Consulting Director to ensure that final delivery of all projects is to client customer satisfaction;
  • Taking responsibility for management of on-going client relationships and understanding their objectives and needs; and
  • Supporting clients with timely and high-value suggestions for projects.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

§Well-refined account management and sales skills at a senior management / board level;

§Strategic and analytical thinking - the ability to conceptualise and communicate client issues;

§Strong client interaction skills - considerable experience of working with both internal and external clients and in preparing and conducting sales presentations to Senior Management;

§Self-motivated with the drive to achieve and exceed sales targets and other key performance indicators;

§Strong inter-personal skills in order to secure "buy-in" and support from internal stakeholders;

§Good written communication skills.

§Advanced PC skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

§Organizational skills including time management.
