We are the UK's leading Premium Express Delivery Company providing high quality, flexible and innovative courier services across the UK, Ireland and Worldwide. We are currently recruiting for the role of an Area Account Managers covering Wimbledon/Epsom and Gatwick/Guildford areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for Generating targeted profitable organic new business from existing Tier 2 Customers, within an agreed geographic area, and ensure those customers are retained and developed.
The key elements of the role are:
Develop and implement tactical sales plans to penetrate appropriate sectors within the overall company sales strategy.
Monitor the local market and competitor activity to identify opportunities for organic business.
Produce periodic revenue forecasts, including reports on new accounts gained, lost business and accounts under threat
Initiates and organises targeted sales initiatives such as depot open days.
Liase with Sales Administration and Marketing Departments to produce rate proposals and tender responses.
Work within the company guidelines with regard to agreed rates and authorisation levels.
Works alongside the operations team to ensure that all accounts are set up and managed effectively.
Ensures effective communication to staff regarding City Links business strategy, key decisions and initiatives
Ensures compliance with all relevant HR, Security, Health and Safety policies and procedures
Contributes to corporate/company-wide projects as required.
Ideal Area Account Manager will have the following skills/attributes:
Knowledge of business-to-business sales processes and procedures
Committed to customer care
Proven sales ability
Tenacious and target driven
Good communicator at all levels
Proven experience in working to and exceeding targets
Experience of managing, retaining and developing customers
