Primary functions will include decisions on programming, working closely with the marketing department on initiatives to maximize audience and increasing revenue through implementing effective subscription, affiliate, programming, advertising and syndication strategies. The role will also include working with the advertising department to ensure that revenue targets are met for affiliate sales, advertising sales and syndication.
Key Responsibilities
•Drive the affiliate and subscriber strategy across EMEA .
•Collaborate with marketing, operations and finance on pricing to maximize audience and revenue
•Refining marketing/subscriber incentives, player messaging, working with operations, marketing and technical provider to grow ARPU.
•Increase audience through programming and product development
•Use web analytics software and other research tools to inform product and audience growth strategy.
•Identify new rights acquisition opportunities that will drive revenue and audience.
•Establish relationships in key territories for strategic revenue and promotion partners.
•Coordinate with marketing on the external affiliate referral network
•Consult and develop with Online and Television Advertising Sales on channel sponsorship opportunities
•Work with Director, Commercial and finance department on weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting on all revenues and P&L management
Strong commercial and team management skills needed. Firm grasp of emerging technology markets and their impact on the Sports market useful. Must have commercial and online experience in UK/Europe in new media, sports and broadcasting markets. Existing working relationships up to Managing Director or equivalent in digital platforms, telcos and television broadcasting desirable.
